Family law covers a wide range of different issues that are usually frustrating, emotional and sometimes very complicated. Too many times individuals are faced with such issues and are ill equipped to handle the situation. It is these types of circumstances where you need to have someone by your side that not only understands what you are going through but can cut through all the emotions and frustrations and help you reach the best resolution.
There are two different types of divorces; contested and uncontested. If you and your spouse have come to a resolution regarding custody, property distribution, alimony or any other issues, then you will most likely need to file an uncontested divorce. An uncontested divorce is relatively quick and inexpensive. If there are issues that are not resolved regarding any of these topics, you will most likely need to file a contested divorce. The same goes for other areas within family law consisting of paternity, modifications and adoptions to name a few.
